I don't expect this to go much of anywhere, but I just started my second Death Knight (Horde) today on the Nordrassil server. It's a new server for new players, and I've been getting a lot of whispers about how to complete various quests. So I thought I'd write up a how-to list on how to get through the Death Knight starting area, and essentially blog about my experiences leveling a Death Knight and eventually tanking with her, since the new Dungeon Finder system got implemented earlier this month, which makes everyone's lives easier.
Like I said, this is my second Death Knight, and my seventh character overall, and first Horde. I usually play on the Stormrage server, alliance, where I've got four 80s, one above 70, and one working its way to 60. I play a ret paladin, a survival hunter, a balance/resto druid, a Blood (pvp) DK, and a frostfire mage, and a combat sword rogue all with some degree of success. I'm not a raider, since I much prefer the dynamics of heroics, and I most certainly am not a min-maxer. I'll have the occasional spec tossed up and some advice on enchanting and gemming, but, credit where it is due, that'll be me analyzing other people's playstyles and guides in the context of a 5-man tank who really doesn't care about all the fiddly bits behind the scenes.
